Here with have an incredibly rare microphone in fantastic condition. The capsule was re skinned by ‘Siefried Thiersch’ in May 2019 with paperwork to prove and the microphone hasn’t been used since. It sounds wonderful as you would expect for what is essentially an original AKG C12 but much rarer!
The story behind these microphones is that when AKG ceased production of the C12 in the early 70’s, the technician who had been making them had enough parts to make a handful and did so under the name ‘Percy Bear’.
